How We Started

My Name Is Max Nahpa And My Story Began Over Twenty Years Ago.

I Was Reckless And Untouchable (Or So I Thought). It Was Exactly This Naïve Mentality That Led Me Face To Face With What Would Soon Turn Into My Own Personal Demon - Addiction. Fast Forward A Few Years Ahead And I Was Homeless, Alone, Sick And Ready To End It All On One New Years Eve Night (1998). I Was At Rock Bottom.

I Wish I Could Insert Some Wonderful And Inspiring Story Here About How I Recovered And It Was All Flowers And Rainbows But The Truth Is - It Was The Hardest Battle I Ever Fought. There Was A Lot Of Sweat, Tears And Many Moments Of Weakness.

I Don't Know What It Was That Made Me Go Left At That Point In My Life And Chose Life Over The Other Darker Direction. I Like To Credit My Human Spirit And The Incredible Way Our Bodies Instinctively Just Know What's Good For Us.

Nature Was A Huge - NO, Monumental Part Of My Healing Journey. I Soon Noticed That I Had Totally Lost The Most Important Thing: My Connection To Nature. So What Did I Do? The Same Thing Everyone In A Movie Does When Things Go Wrong: Made Some Money, Packed My Life Up And Left Overseas To Asia (Easier Done When Your Whole Life Already Mostly Fit Into A Small Backpack)

The Mission Was Simple: Get Back To What It Means To Be A Human In The Purest Sense And What Better Place To Start Than By Going Deep Into The Forests And Being Surrounded By Green - Green Grass, Green Trees, Green Plants.

During The Trip Led By Native Farmers Local To The Regions, I Learned About Many Ancient Healing Plants. I Saw Firsthand Not Only How Incredible Their Healing Powers Can Be But Also How They Were Grown And Cultivated.

From The Jungles Of Sumatra To The Remote Kapuas River, It Was Safe To Say, This Was The Trip Of A Lifetime.

And That Brings Us To Today. At The Risk Of Sounding Dramatic, I Swear That These Plants Changed My Life And I Have Decided It Is Going To Me My Life's Mission To Share Their Life Changing Power With Anyone Who Is Willing To Listen.
